With uncanny and you could say, unfortunate timing, it's all eyes on Hurricane Ophelia as it moves toward the British Isles. Right on cue for the 30th anniversary of the Great Storm of 1987.
30 years on from the Great Storm of 1987, and here we are, tracking a hurricane moving toward the British Isles. Ophelia will be an ex-hurricane by the time it arrives but is still set to pack a real punch, with stormy winds and heavy rain moving in during Monday.
At the moment it looks set to track just over western Ireland, before moving near to Scotland later and into Tuesday, but there is a lot of uncertainty this, so please stay tuned to the latest forecasts through the weekend for updates.
Another notable thing about this weekend is how warm it's going to be, with tropical air pulled up across the country - highs will reach the twenties for some, very unusual for the time of the year.
