Senior Forecaster
My interest in the weather started at the age of 12 when I completed my Girl Guide Weatherman (yes, man) badge. After studying Geophysical Sciences at UEA in Norwich, I trained as a weather forecaster at the Met. Office in Reading, at the weather bubble of Shinfield Park. I’ve worked as a forecaster at the former Birmingham Weather Centre, media centre for ITV productions at South Bank, Waterloo and at BBC Television Centre appearing on News24, BBC1, BBC World and Radio 4.
Since 2008 I have presented on STV (Scottish ITV) as backfill cover and have been enjoying the Scottish weather. I’m also still a Guide Leader, a Girlguiding volunteer, although I can't guarantee good weather for camping.
